4. Fabric Care, Longevity & Final Capsule Edit
Welcome to Page 4 of 4 of my guide on The Sculpted One-Piece: Street-Smart Swim in Matte Lycra (Studio Edit #G228517). Once you have the right fit, keeping the fabric texture and elasticity pristine takes just two simple habits.

📌 Pin Look
Protecting the Drape & Finish
Matte Italian Lycra is a dream, but it needs love. I always hand-wash my swimsuits in cold water with a gentle detergent—never machine wash, never wring. After rinsing, roll it in a towel to press out excess water, then lay flat to dry in the shade. Chlorine and salt are the enemies; I rinse mine immediately after swimming. This fabric resists pilling, but the ribbed jersey can stretch if you hang it, so always store it folded.
For packing, I roll my one-pieces in a silk pouch to keep them from snagging on other items. If you’re traveling, pack two—one to wear, one to rest. I also keep a fabric shaver in my kit for any unexpected fuzz. With this care, your suit will maintain its shape and color for years, making it a capsule wardrobe staple. Remember, a well-cared-for piece is a sustainable one—that’s my studio’s philosophy.
