2. Customizing Proportions, Cut & Color Palette
Welcome to Page 2 of 4 of my styling breakdown for The Sculpted One-Piece: Street-Smart Swim in Matte Lycra (Studio Edit #G228517). Here is how I adjust the neckline, waist placement, and tonal contrast depending on my client’s proportions.

📌 Pin Look
Tailoring the Line to Your Frame
Let’s talk proportions. If you’re pear-shaped, the high-cut leg draws the eye down and balances your hips, while the square neckline adds width to your shoulders. For apple shapes, the sculpted waist creates a defined middle, and the higher leg line makes your legs look endless. I always suggest a darker matte tone for the torso if you want to streamline, but don’t shy away from a bold color—this cut carries it well.
When it comes to torso and waist balance, I tell my clients to look for a suit with a moderate bottom rise—not too cheeky, not too high—to keep the line clean. The ribbed jersey fabric gives gentle compression, so it holds you in without feeling like armor. If you’re between sizes, size down for a firmer hold, but always check the shoulder straps; they should sit flat, not dig in. That’s my non-negotiable.
✦ Choosing Your Best Variation
- Monochrome Onyx & Espresso: Creates the longest, sleekest runway column with zero visual interruption.
- Warm Ivory & Champagne Bronze: Softens angular shoulders and catches golden-hour light beautifully.
- Structured Contrast Trim: Draws the eye directly to the collarbone and waist.
