Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

For a day-to-sunset transition, I start with the swimsuit as a top. Throw on an oversized white linen shirt, unbuttoned, with the sleeves rolled—instant effortless vibe. Add a pair of tailored high-waisted shorts and strappy slides, and you’re ready for a coastal market or a late lunch. For sunset, swap the shorts for a flowing midi skirt in a complementary tone, like terracotta or sage, and switch to raffia mules. Add a woven tote and gold hoop earrings, and you’ve got dinner plans.

Layering is your best friend here. A sheer kaftan or a crochet cover-up adds texture without hiding the silhouette. I always advise my clients to keep accessories minimal—let the cut do the talking. A slicked-back bun or loose waves frames the square neckline beautifully. And don’t forget a tinted lip balm and oversized sunglasses; they’re the ultimate street-style finishers.
