Protecting the Drape & Finish

This one-piece is made from matte Italian Lycra, which is durable but needs a gentle hand. Always rinse it in cold water immediately after wearing, especially in chlorinated pools or salt water. I keep a travel-size lingerie wash in my kit—just a few drops in a sink, swish it around, and lay it flat to dry. Never wring it out; that ruins the elasticity.

For packing, I roll the suit inside a silk pouch or a zip-lock bag to protect it from snags. It’s a capsule wardrobe hero—it takes up less space than a pair of jeans and can be worn at least three ways. To keep it looking fresh season after season, rotate it with one other suit. That way, the elastic gets time to recover, and you’ll extend its life significantly.
