4. Fabric Care, Longevity & Final Capsule Edit
Welcome to Page 4 of 4 of my guide on The Sculpted One-Piece: A Return to the Classic Swimsuit. Once you have the right fit, keeping the fabric texture and elasticity pristine takes just two simple habits.

📌 Pin Look
Protecting the Drape & Finish
To keep your one-piece in pristine condition, always rinse it in cold water immediately after swimming – salt and chlorine are the enemies of lycra. Hand wash with a gentle detergent, and never wring it out. Lay it flat to dry in the shade; direct sunlight can fade the color and break down the fabric’s elasticity.
When packing for a trip, roll your swimsuit instead of folding it to prevent creases. And for your capsule wardrobe, invest in two or three well-made one-pieces in different colors or cuts. Rotate them, and they’ll last for years. I’ve had clients come back to me after five years with the same suit, still looking sharp – that’s the mark of true quality.
