Protecting the Drape & Finish

Here’s my non-negotiable care ritual: hand-wash both pieces in cold water with a gentle detergent—never wring, just press the water out. For the swimsuit, I lay it flat on a towel, reshaping the leg openings so they don’t stretch. The knit cover-up gets the same treatment, but I roll it in the towel to remove excess moisture, then lay flat on a drying rack. Chlorine and saltwater are the enemy, so I always rinse immediately after wearing.

For packing, I roll the swimsuit inside the cover-up to save space and prevent snags. Toss a mesh laundry bag in your carry-on for wet pieces. In your capsule wardrobe, this duo is a workhorse—it pairs with linen trousers, a denim skirt, or even a sarong. I’ve had clients wear the cover-up as a beach top over high-waisted shorts months later, so it’s an investment that keeps giving.
