4. Fabric Care, Longevity & Final Capsule Edit
Welcome to Page 4 of 4 of my guide on The Sculpted Slide: A Resort One-Piece That Moves With You. Once you have the right fit, keeping the fabric texture and elasticity pristine takes just two simple habits.

Protecting the Drape & Finish
In my studio, I always tell clients to rinse their swimsuits in cold water immediately after wearing—salt and chlorine are the enemies of Lycra. Hand wash with a mild detergent, never wring it out, and lay it flat on a towel to dry in the shade. The matte Italian fabric is durable, but direct sun can dull the color over time.
For packing, roll the swimsuit rather than fold it to avoid creases in the ribbed panels. I keep a small mesh bag in my travel kit for all swim pieces, and I tuck a silica gel packet inside to absorb moisture. When you’re not traveling, store it flat in a drawer with a cedar block nearby—moths love Lycra blends, so a natural repellent is a must. This way, your resort edit stays crisp for many seasons.
