2. Customizing Proportions, Cut & Color Palette
Welcome to Page 2 of 4 of my styling breakdown for Witching Hour Capsule: Tailored Orange & Black Magic. Here is how I adjust the neckline, waist placement, and tonal contrast depending on my client’s proportions.

📌 Pin Look
Tailoring the Line to Your Frame
For proportions, if you’re petite, keep the jacket cropped and the trousers slim to avoid overwhelming your frame. If you’re taller, you can play with a wider leg and a slightly longer jacket. The key is balancing the volume—if the bottom is wide, keep the top fitted, and vice versa.
Color-wise, I love a deep burnt orange with black, but you can swap in rust, amber, or even a rich plum. For body framing, a V-neckline in the blouse elongates the neck, while high-waist trousers define the waist. For curvier figures, choose a jacket with a peplum or a slightly flared hem to skim the hips.
✦ Choosing Your Best Variation
- Monochrome Onyx & Espresso: Creates the longest, sleekest runway column with zero visual interruption.
- Warm Ivory & Champagne Bronze: Softens angular shoulders and catches golden-hour light beautifully.
- Structured Contrast Trim: Draws the eye directly to the collarbone and waist.
