Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

Start your day at the beach with just the one-piece and a pair of oversized sunglasses. The cut is statement enough—skip the cover-up. I like to add a thin gold chain that sits just above the square neckline; it catches the light and adds a touch of elegance. For footwear, strappy leather slides are perfect for sandy strolls, but if you’re heading to a beach club, swap them for raffia mules.

As the sun sets, layer a crisp white linen shirt over it, unbuttoned and tied at the waist. Throw on a wide-brim hat and switch to a low-heeled sandal—you’re ready for dinner. This piece is a chameleon; it goes from swim to street without missing a beat. I always pack a light kaftan as a backup, but honestly, the shirt-and-heel combo is my go-to for sunset cocktails.
