Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

Start your day with the one-piece as your base—maybe under a sheer linen shirt or a light kaftan. The square neckline is perfect for showing off a delicate pendant or a chain necklace. For a beach-to-brunch transition, throw on a pair of wide-leg linen trousers and slide into raffia mules; the high-cut leg peeks out just enough to keep the look playful. I always tell my clients to treat the one-piece like a bodysuit—it’s the foundation of a look, not just a swimsuit.

As the sun starts to set, swap the trousers for a flowing maxi skirt and add a pair of strappy leather slides. The matte fabric plays well with statement earrings—try hammered gold or shell shapes. If you want to elevate further, a cropped blazer in a contrasting neutral works over the one-piece like a second skin. The beauty of this piece is its versatility; it moves from pool to dinner without missing a beat, and you’ll feel just as polished at 7 p.m. as you did at noon.
