Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From day to sunset, this tankini transitions seamlessly. In the morning, throw on a crisp white linen shirt, unbuttoned, with wide-leg cover-up pants and flat slides—you’re instantly beach chic. For midday, pair it with a sheer mesh cover-up dress and a wide-brimmed hat. As the sun sets, swap the linen for a crochet knit dress and add chunky gold hoops and a raffia tote.

Layering is all about texture contrast—the smooth matte knit against airy linen or open-weave crochet creates visual interest. Don’t forget a silk scarf to tie in your hair or around your waist for a pop of pattern. For footwear, a strappy leather slide is my go-to from pool to bar, but a low block-heel mule works for a more dressed-up evening.
