Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

For a day-to-sunset routine, I start with the suit as my base. In the morning, I throw on a sheer, oversized linen shirt—unbuttoned, sleeves rolled—and pair it with flat raffia mules. That’s your pool-to-beach look. As the sun starts to dip, I swap the linen shirt for a tailored white blazer and switch the mules for strappy leather slides. Add a pair of gold hoop earrings and a woven tote, and you’re ready for an early dinner.

Don’t be afraid to layer a crochet or mesh cover-up over the suit if you want a little more coverage. The key is to keep the neckline visible—it’s your best feature. I always carry a silk scarf in my bag to tie around my waist or neck as a pop of color. For accessories, keep it minimal: a delicate anklet, a chunky watch, and maybe a thin belt if you’re wearing the trousers. The suit does the heavy lifting, so let it shine.
