Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula
From day to sunset, this one-piece is a chameleon. For a daytime beach look, I layer a crisp white linen shirt over it, unbuttoned and tied at the waist—it’s effortless, protects your shoulders, and adds that resort-couture vibe. Add a pair of strappy leather slides and oversized sunglasses, and you’re ready for a seaside lunch. The high-cut leg means you can skip the cover-up skirt; the silhouette is already the statement.
When the sun dips, swap the slides for raffia mules, add a long duster cardigan or a silk sarong draped over one shoulder, and switch your tote for a woven clutch. Gold hoop earrings and a slicked-back bun finish the look. I always tell my clients: accessories are the bridge between day and night. A chunky necklace or a woven belt at the waist can transform the suit into a bodysuit, so you can go straight from the beach bar to a beachfront dinner without missing a beat.
