Here’s how I style it from day to sunset. At midday, I throw on a crisp white linen shirt, unbuttoned to the sternum, and slide into leather sandals—the contrast of structured shirt and bare skin under the sun is effortless. For the boardwalk, I’d add a wide-brim straw hat and a woven tote; the square neckline means no awkward tan lines, so you can go strapless bra-free without a second thought.
As the sun drops, I swap the sandals for raffia mules and add a long, fluid skirt—slit to the thigh—over the swimsuit. Layer a fine-gauge cardigan on your shoulders, not your arms, and you’ve got a dinner look that’s intentional, not improvised. Gold hoops and a slicked-back bun finish it; the high-cut leg peeking from under the skirt is your secret weapon.
