Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From day to sunset, this one-piece is a chameleon. In the morning, I’d throw on a crisp white linen shirt, unbuttoned, with the sleeves rolled—it reads effortlessly chic. For footwear, a strappy leather slide keeps it grounded, and I’d add a wide-brim straw hat for that editorial touch. By late afternoon, swap the shirt for a sheer cotton cover-up or a silk sarong tied at the hip, and switch to raffia mules for a dressier step.

For accessories, think gold—a chunky chain or a stack of bangles echoes the suit’s clean lines. I’d skip a necklace if the neckline is already sculpted, but a pair of hoop earrings frames the face beautifully. And here’s my sunset rule: always carry a lightweight kimono or a linen blazer. The moment the breeze picks up, you’ll be glad for it, and it instantly transforms the look from beach to bar.
