Tailoring the Line to Your Frame

Let’s talk proportions. If you’re petite, the high-cut leg is your best friend—it adds length without overwhelming your frame. For curvier figures, the square neckline offers support and structure, while the high leg slims the hip line. I always advise clients to play with the width of the straps: thicker straps for broader shoulders, thinner ones for a delicate look. And don’t shy away from a dramatic cut—it’s all about balance.

Color-wise, I’m loving deep ocean tones—navy, forest green, and rich burgundy—for a sophisticated street-style vibe. But if you’re bold, a stark white or black with a matte finish reads incredibly editorially. The key is to avoid shiny fabrics; matte lycra looks expensive and photographs beautifully. For body framing, consider a suit with a center seam or subtle ruching—it adds texture and draws the eye inward, creating a flattering focal point.

✦ Choosing Your Best Variation

  • Monochrome Onyx & Espresso: Creates the longest, sleekest runway column with zero visual interruption.
  • Warm Ivory & Champagne Bronze: Softens angular shoulders and catches golden-hour light beautifully.
  • Structured Contrast Trim: Draws the eye directly to the collarbone and waist.
