Tailoring the Line to Your Frame

Proportion is everything. If you’re petite, the high-cut leg is your best friend—it visually adds inches. For those with an athletic build, the square neckline adds softness to the shoulders. If you carry weight in your midsection, the ribbed jersey (a secret weapon of mine) compresses and smooths without feeling restrictive. The key is to let the suit do the work—no ruffles, no cutouts, just clean geometry.

Color-wise, I love this in a deep olive or classic black for maximum slimming effect, but for resort, a terracotta or dusty rose adds warmth against sun-kissed skin. If you’re fair, go for a navy or burgundy; deeper skin tones pop in cobalt or coral. And remember: the square neckline draws the eye upward, so it’s the perfect excuse to show off a delicate necklace or statement earrings.

✦ Choosing Your Best Variation

  • Monochrome Onyx & Espresso: Creates the longest, sleekest runway column with zero visual interruption.
  • Warm Ivory & Champagne Bronze: Softens angular shoulders and catches golden-hour light beautifully.
  • Structured Contrast Trim: Draws the eye directly to the collarbone and waist.
