Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From day to sunset, this one-piece is a chameleon. Throw on a white linen overshirt, unbuttoned, with a raffia tote and flat slides—you’re ready for a market stroll or a beach club lunch. For sunset, swap the slides for a strappy heeled mule, add a thin gold belt over the shirting, and switch your tote for a clutch. The square neckline lets you wear a long pendant necklace without tangling, and I’d add a silk scarf in your hair for that effortless Italian vibe.

Layering is about texture contrast. The matte Lycra is sleek, so pair it with nubby linen, crochet, or a sheer voile. A cropped cardigan in a ribbed knit works if you’re cooler in the evening. Avoid anything too shiny—you want the swimsuit to stay the hero. And for accessories, keep it minimal: one statement earring, a woven belt, and a stack of thin bangles. The high-cut leg means bare legs all day, so don’t forget a good tanning oil—not just for glow, but to keep the skin hydrated under the sun.
