Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From day to sunset, this one-piece transitions like a champ. Start with a sheer linen shirt over it, unbuttoned, with a pair of flat slides and a wide-brim hat. That’s your daytime beach look—effortless, editorial, and ready for a coffee or a stroll. By late afternoon, swap the slides for a strappy heeled mule and add a thin gold chain belt at the waist to break up the solid color. Suddenly you’re dressed for a seaside dinner.

For accessories, keep it minimal but deliberate: a structured tote in raffia or leather, oversized sunglasses, and maybe a silk scarf tied around your neck or bag handle. Don’t overdo the jewelry—the neckline is the star. If you’re layering, a cropped cardigan or a tailored blazer works beautifully over the square neckline, giving you that resort-to-street vibe. And always pack a matching sarong or wrap skirt for an easy transition if you’re heading straight from the water to a beach bar.
