4. Fabric Care, Longevity & Final Capsule Edit
Welcome to Page 4 of 4 of my guide on The Sculpted One-Piece: A Tailor's Guide to Resort Dressing. Once you have the right fit, keeping the fabric texture and elasticity pristine takes just two simple habits.

Protecting the Drape & Finish
To keep the lycra’s shape, always rinse in cold water after salt or chlorine exposure—I keep a travel-sized gentle detergent in my beach bag. Hand wash only, and never wring; press the water out in a towel. Dry flat in the shade, because direct sun can fade the matte finish over time.
For packing, roll the one-piece with tissue paper to prevent creases, and store it in a breathable cotton pouch to avoid snags. In your capsule, this piece replaces at least two other swimsuits—it works as a bodysuit under a denim jacket, so it earns its keep year-round. Just re-stitch the leg elastic every few seasons to maintain that crisp line.
