Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From day to sunset, this one-piece is a chameleon. In the morning, I’d wear it alone with a wide-brimmed hat and flat sandals, letting the cut speak for itself. As the sun climbs, throw on a crisp white linen shirt—unbuttoned, sleeves rolled—and swap the sandals for strappy slides. That’s your poolside uniform. For sunset, add a sheer kaftan or a tailored blazer over the suit, and switch to raffia mules with a gold anklet. The key is layering textures: linen against matte Lycra creates that effortless, expensive feel.

Accessories should stay minimal—a delicate chain necklace that hits just above the neckline, or a chunky cuff if you want edge. I avoid belts on the swimsuit itself, but a low-slung chain belt over the linen shirt works wonders for defining the waist. And for hair, a sleek low bun or slicked-back waves keeps the focus on the silhouette. Remember, the suit is the star; everything else is just a supporting cast.
