Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From day to sunset, this piece is a chameleon. At noon, I’d layer it under a crisp white linen shirt, unbuttoned low, with a wide-brim straw hat and oversized sunglasses—instant Riviera chic. The high-cut leg peeks through the shirt’s hem, keeping it playful. By golden hour, swap the shirt for a sheer kaftan in a contrasting hue, add gold hoop earrings, and slide into raffia mules. You’ve gone from poolside to aperitivo without changing.

Accessories are your best friend here. A thin gold belt worn over the suit at the natural waist turns it into a bodysuit—pair with a flowing maxi skirt for a beach club dinner. For footwear, my non-negotiable is a strappy leather slide; it echoes the suit’s minimal lines. Avoid chunky sneakers—they break the fluid silhouette. And when the sun dips, a lightweight cashmere wrap over your shoulders keeps the evening breeze at bay while preserving the look’s elegance.
