Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From day to sunset, this piece transitions like a dream. Start with a sheer linen shirt unbuttoned over it, a wide-brim hat, and flat slides for a beach walk. The shirt should be slightly oversized—that contrast between the fitted suit and the loose linen is pure editorial. For accessories, keep it minimal: a thin gold chain and simple hoop earrings. Don’t overdo it; the cut is the statement.

As the sun dips, swap the slides for a raffia mule or a strappy leather heel, and tie the linen shirt at your waist for a sarong effect. Add a woven tote and a pair of oversized sunglasses, and you’re ready for a seaside cocktail. I always tell my clients to pack one bold lipstick—a coral or a brick red—to transition from swim to dinner without changing. It’s the easiest styling hack I know.
