Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From day to sunset, this one-piece is a chameleon. For a daytime pool look, I layer a crisp white linen shirt over it, unbuttoned, with a pair of oversized sunglasses and the strappy slides. The shirt adds a breathable layer that protects your shoulders while keeping the vibe effortless. As the sun dips, swap the linen shirt for a sheer kaftan or a lightweight sarong tied at the hip—instant evening glam.

Accessories make the transition seamless. Start with a woven straw tote and delicate gold hoop earrings for the beach; then, for sunset cocktails, add a chunky shell necklace and a silk scarf in your hair. The shoes matter: slides for the sand, but switch to mules for the bar. I always tell my clients, ‘Let the suit do the talking; keep the extras minimal but intentional.’
