Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From day to sunset, this piece transitions like a chameleon. At noon, I layer a crisp white linen shirt over it, unbuttoned, with a raffia tote and flat slides—it’s a look that says ‘I just stepped off a boat in Positano.’ For the beach, I skip the shirt and add a wide-brim hat and oversized sunglasses; the high cut keeps the silhouette clean under the sun.

As the light shifts, I swap the slides for strappy leather ones—heeled, if we’re dining—and add a long, lightweight kaftan or a silk pareo tied low on the hips. A stack of gold bangles and a pair of hoop earrings pull it together. I always advise clients to pack one statement accessory, like a chunky necklace, to take the swimsuit from day to evening without a full change. It’s the smartest styling hack I know.
