Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

Start your day by layering a crisp white linen shirt over the one-piece, unbuttoned and knotted at the waist—this is my go-to for a market stroll. Slip on strappy leather slides (I love a tan or cognac) and a woven tote. As the sun climbs, lose the shirt and add a wide-brimmed straw hat and oversized sunglasses. For a late-afternoon espresso by the water, switch to raffia mules and a lightweight kaftan draped over your shoulders.

When sunset hits, swap the slides for heeled sandals, add a thin gold chain belt at your waist, and trade the kaftan for a silk sarong tied high on one hip. This one-piece transitions from beach to bar without missing a beat. I always carry a few gold shell earrings in my bag—they instantly dress up the look. The key is to let the suit be the hero; everything else is just a supporting note.
