Maya’s 3-Piece Capsule Formula

From morning to sunset, this tankini is your best companion. Start the day by layering it under a crisp white linen shirt, unbuttoned and tied at the waist, with a pair of strappy leather slides. For a beach-to-brunch transition, swap the shirt for a lightweight kaftan or a sheer crochet cover-up, and add a wide-brim hat and oversized sunglasses. The square neckline allows you to wear a long pendant necklace that sits perfectly above the fabric, adding a touch of elegance without overdoing it.

As the sun begins to dip, change into a flowing maxi skirt or high-waisted linen trousers, and the tankini becomes a stylish top. Add a pair of raffia mules and a woven tote, and you’re ready for a seaside dinner. I always tell my clients to treat swimwear as activewear—choose pieces that can transition, and you’ll get more wear out of them. Accessorize with layered anklets or a delicate chain belt to emphasize the waist, and you’re set for any coastal evening.
